Partner Zhang Tao Named among the 2023 ALB China Top 15 Cybersecurity & Data Protection Lawyers

We are glad to announce that partner Mr. Tao Zhang of DeHeng's Beijing Office, by virtue of his extensive experience and outstanding performance, was voted among the 2023 ALB China Top 15 Cybersecurity & Data Protection Lawyers, a ranking released on June 21, 2023.

Partner Zhang Tao is also head of DeHeng Network and Data Research Center, Director of China Commercial Law Society, Director of China Society of Market Supervision, and National Evaluation Expert for Demonstration Zones and Demonstration Enterprises. His practice areas include cybersecurity and data compliance, corporate compliance, and intellectual property. He participated in the drafting of The E-Commerce Law, participated in the drafting of and offered guidance and support for two purpose-specific departmental plans for the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan. 

Mr. Zhang has been practicing law for more than 15 years, and has rich experience in compliance practice. He has been directly engaged by relevant ministries and commissions to lead compliance projects and participate in compliance review. He also provides special legal services such as compliance system building and data compliance for well-known clients such as central enterprises, large state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, artificial intelligence and big data companies, and Internet technology companies.
